55th Anniversary Celebration Juried Art Exhibition and Silent Auction

A Call to Artists

Exhibit Dates: March 11 - 19, 2010

Venue: Mote Aquarium

Subject: Works of art depicting Mote's 55 years of preserving our world's marine environment and advancing sea science will be selected for the week-long exhibition. The exhibition is part of a year-long celebration of Mote's 55th Anniversary. Extensive publicity and exposure of all the events is expected. Mote Aquarium attracts more than 300,000 visitors annually. In March 2009, 1,275 people visited the aquarium daily.

Additional Details: Opening and closing receptions and a silent auction will be held in conjunction with the exhibition. Sale of all artwork benefits the programs and projects of Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium. Artists are encouraged to visit Mote Aquarium or view Mote's website to realize the extensive work and programs of the organization.

Please Note: Artists who submit entry forms and payment by Feb. 28, 2010 (by mail or e-mail) will receive priority processing when dropping off artwork.
